BRUSHING

Brush hair thoroughly multiple times a day. Always keep a firm grip on the base of the extensions so as not to pull unnecessarily.

Use a designated dressing brush for dry hair and Styling. Use a Wet Brush for wet hair, detangling and combing through conditioners when washing. Avoid excessive pulling or aggressive brushing. Brush rows and wefts individually every day.

WASHING

Always brush your hair before washing. Gently wash hair extensions with Iles Formula sulfate free, color safe shampoo and conditioner. Use the conditioner on your natural hair and the Iles Formula Mask on the extension hair with every wash. Avoid using heavy conditioning on the application site. After showering use the Iles Formula Hair Turban towel to absorb moisture and reduce static, frizz and breakage. Use a shower cap to keep hair dry on non washing days.

DRYING

Apply Unite 7 Seconds Detangling spray to wet hair and use your Wet Brush to comb and detangle. Add Iles Formula Serum to damp hair and comb through.

I do not suggest air drying; use a hair dryer to insure a smooth finish and be sure all wefts are completely dry. Never sleep on wet hair. It will cause them to tangle and matting.

STYLING

A blow dryer, flat iron or curling iron may be used. Our scalp only produces enough natural oils for our own hair, so you will need to supplement with the Iles Formula serum to allow continued moisture for your extensions. It can also be used daily on dry hair and when wet before drying. Brushing daily will help drag your natural oils down through the extensions and lessen the demarkation between your natural hair and the extension hair.

SLEEPING

Never go to bed with your hair wet. Sleep with your hair in a low ponytail or braid. Sleep on a silk pillowcase.Allows brush your hair before bed.

SWIMMING & FITNESS

I do not recommend extensive swimming with your extensions. The risks include: hair discoloration, absorption of unknown elements, tangling & matting, and excessive dryness. However, if you do, its best to saturate the hair with Iles Formula conditioner or mask before swimming underwater. Rinse with fresh water immediately. Wear in a tight ponytail for any water activities. If you do choose to swim with your hair extensions, please know that you are doing so at your own risk.

Make sure to dry and brush wefts in between workouts as it could cause matting and tangling.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

Do not exceed the recommended time-frames for maintaining your extensions. If you exceed the maintenance period and do not adhere to the hair care guidelines, I cannot guarantee the quality of the hair extensions or your natural hair. It is always recommended to pre-book your maintenance appointments. These are long appointments and cannot be squeezed into my schedule at the last minute. If the extension hair is properly maintained it should last 9 months to a year before needing new hair.

Move ups are recommended every 8 weeks. Please inform me of any scalp conditions you may have had or start to experience.
